Frank W. Gunsaulus Society
The Gunsaulus Society, named in honor of Illinois Tech’s founding president, recognizes those who have arranged an estate commitment to the university.
Frank W. Gunsaulus—a noted preacher, educator, and pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church—delivered the influential “Million Dollar Sermon,” which inspired Philip Danforth Armour Sr. to found Armour Institute, the predecessor to Illinois Tech. Gunsaulus went on to serve as the school’s president for nearly 30 years, helping to establish the foundation of the university as it is known today.
Today, the generosity and vision of Gunsaulus Society members carry that legacy forward, helping sustain Illinois Tech’s mission as a global opportunity engine, preparing students to solve complex, real-world challenges and drive meaningful impact.
